We use Source Cutter, our source code generation tool, on all of our projects. This
allows us to deliver consistently coded applications, for less money, in fewer calendar days.
Typically fixed cost bids may also be provided for most of your project, eliminating worries for
budget overruns on your projects.
We strongly believe the key to any successful project is detailed project management and
good communication by all parties throughout the project. Razor Source will typically provide
updates at least every two weeks
during the development phase of a project to allow progress of the application to be closely
monitored and to ensure your expectations are being met.
Typical projects will consist of the following general phases:
- Functional Requirements Gathering - Primary business functionality and processes are identified and initial budgets are defined.
- Technical Requirements Documentation - Once functional requirements are identified and agreed upon, detailed
technical requirements are documented including items such as prototyped user interfaces, detailed database schemas, and any other
necessary technical information. At this point remaining project budgets and timelines may be finalized.
- Development - The actual application is created at this point. Typically application updates will be
provided every two weeks, and a corresponding updated project plan is provided to ensure
the project is staying on time and on budget.
- System Testing - System testing is typically done by both Razor Source and client staff
concurrently. This is the final phase of testing prior to deploying the application.
- Deployment - Depending upon the type and final location of the application appropriate
deployment occurs. If desired, Razor Source can provide hosting services for web applications.
